The Witcher Season 3 Cast and Characters: Return of the Familiar
Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri Set to Return
Netflix has officially confirmed the cast for the upcoming third season of its hit fantasy series, The Witcher. Henry Cavill will once again take on the role of Geralt of Rivia, the monster hunter who is also the titular character. Anya Chalotra returns as Yennefer, a powerful sorceress and Geralt's love interest. Freya Allan will reprise her role as Ciri, Geralt's adopted daughter and the series' central character.
New Sorceresses and a Fan-Favorite Return
Season 3 will also introduce several new characters, including a group of sorceresses who will be known as the Lodge of Sorceresses. According to showrunner Lauren Hissrich, the Lodge will be a "powerful force" in the series going forward. Among the new sorceresses are: Philippa Eilhart, played by Cassie Clare; Francesca Findabair, played by Mecia Simson; and Margarita Laux-Antille, played by Charlotte Vega.
One of the most exciting additions to the cast is Mimî M Khayisa, who will play the fan-favorite character Milva. In the books, Milva is a skilled archer and a close ally of Geralt and Ciri. Her appearance in the show is sure to delight fans of the series.
Production and Release Date
The third season of The Witcher is currently in production and is expected to premiere on Netflix in mid-2023. The series continues to be one of Netflix's most popular shows, and fans eagerly await the return of Geralt and the gang.
